My doctor instructed me to use my nebulizer in the morning, to loosen mucus, then lie on my

stomach with my head hanging over the end of the bed. This is supposed to move the mucus out of my lungs and allow my to expectorate it. Have you heard of this procedure and is it helpful. It is not an easy position for me. Thank you.
