Hello my name is Christina i am 31 yrs old, in 2009 i was DX with Spondylolisthesis, a par fracture of the lower lumbar as well as severe DDD and im preliminary diabetic which makes all of this much much worse....i tried the injections threw a rheumotologist , the first one was suppose to do nothing the second one was suppose to provide with 30 - 40 percent relief, unfortunetly that wasnt the case with me, the injections did absolutley nothing accept make me feel like i had a cylinder block on my legs lol, so then i was sent to a spine surgeon in La Jolla, CA and there i went threw with the surgery, i was cut open in the front and the back...they went in threw my lower back and put a brace and screw on L4 L5 S5 S1, and then they went in threw the front to fuse the right side of my disc...i fight depression atleast twice a week, i have always been "the tough girl" basically a tomboy, i use to work on cars, race, ride dirt bikes...now i am in pain 24/7 pain meds only take the edge off...i need to know what alternative medication there is other than narcotics, i would like to get pregnant this year before the DDD gets anymore severe but i cannot do that if i cannot control the pain, also are there any support groups i could look into , i am not one to be depressed and i need it to go away
