I've been on normal birth control pills for 4 years or so. I take my pills on time every single day. On my period I usually just skip the sugar pills. I was put on the progesterone only pill because of my high blood pressure. I started them after my period week of sugar pills from the old pack so my cycle hasn't really been interrupted at all. So far I've taken the progesterones on time for 3 days. I had unprotected sex, should I be ok? I always take my pills on time. I heard the progesterone only pill is only slightly less effective in preventing pregnancy than the combined pill and that you should use backup when switching pills at least for a week... Please tell me if I should be concerned or not? Can you compare the combined pill and the mini pill for me so I can understand it better? Thank you.
