Since I was 13 I've had problems with my period not stopping. I became so anemic I couldn't stand without passing out. Doctors had me taking 2 birth control pills and 3 iron pills a day. I was miserable. I couldn't keep anything down and I was in the worst pain of my life. Finally after a month of taking all of those pills, it still hadn't stopped. After not being able to stand long enough to have my blood pressure checked, I was hospitalized. They gave me a blood transfusion. About a month or 2 later, it finally stopped. I've had this happen to me several times since then. I even spent an entire Summer in bed. It lasted almost 6 months straight...it would stop for maybe a week every couple of months, if that. Anyway I'm 27 now and going on a month without it stopping. Doctors never tell me what causes this. I want to know why it does this and would this affect my ability to have kids? I don't have health insurance right now so I can have tests done to check my fertility but I'm trying to stay off of the pill because I want kids. Can someone please tell me something???
