At the present time i suffer from hyperthyroidism and have antibodies for hasimotto and graves disease. I feel tired most of the time, and am beginning to wonder if maybe i am lacking iron because i also feel dizzy spells, especially when i am in bed and turn on my side. By the way, i am also a type 2 diabetic finding it very difficult to loose weight. At one time I thought that the chills and hot flashes I felt were because of menopause, but I think its because my thyroid is out of wack. I haven't had a hysterectomy , and my menstral cycle stopped about 3 yrs. ago. I feel hopeless because my Dr. tells me I need to give it another 2 months to see how my thyroid is then before he performs another ultrasound on my thyroid. Is there anything I can do on my own to begin a healing process? My Dr. says that unless i developany other unusual symptoms like extreme shakiness or fast heart palpitations to call his office or go to the ER. I feel depressed and lifeless. Thank you, Barbie
