In April, 2009, I had a 12.5 hour TMJ surgery to replace my jaw joint on my left side. Ever since then I have had constant 24/7 pain in every tooth, all gums, part of my palate, my lower lip and chin. I have tried a variety of prescription medications, including narcotics prescribed by a pain management physician. I have tried nerve blocks and radiofrequency ablations. Nothing has provided me any significant or lasting relief. On my best days, my pain level is 6 on a scale of 1-10. Sometimes it is a 9 or a 10, for which I have had to go to ER several times. I have had to quit my job, sell my home and move in with my mother, and go on disability because I cannot work any type of job. It has also caused a number of other medical issues which I did not have before the surgery. I have looked into laser therapy and botox injections for pain, but have not tried them yet. I live in a small town outside of Augusta, Georgia. Can you please help me or give me any more ideas for relief from my constant, chronic, oral/facial pain?
