does gastero make your left side swell with activity?

im 38 and have had 5 strokes.i developed gastero 3 yrs ago..im currently in physical therapy for bursitis and when i do as simple as fold clothes to excersizing and it seems to always swell..im not diabetic..is there any help for my future?
