My husband and I are currently expecting our first baby, and although we are both prepared I still have some anxieties. Recently, my husband and I had intercourse and instead of ejaculating inside of me, he did it on the bed. When I looked at it, I noticed that it looked yellow. Not mustard-yellow, it just had a slightly yellow tint to it. I asked him if that was normal, and he said it has been that color ever since he was masturbating when he was younger (he's now 28). Now, I have been looking up reasons why his sperm may be yellow and the only answers I have found are; "There could be urine mixed in the semen, which kills sperm," "It could be old sperm from not ejaculating frequently, therefore it is dead," and, "There could be a sign of an infection." If those statements are true, how did I become pregnant? We have intercourse at least twice a week so it is not likely that the sperm is old and 'dead,' and what kind of infection could that be? Would it kill his sperm, and if so, how did I become pregnant? I would ask my doctor but I don't want to embarass my husband (since he is usually there with me).
