I'm 23 years old, not on any form of birth control or on any type of medication. I'm sexually active. Been with my husband for 7 years now, and we have 2 beautiful kids. I'm 5'3" weigh 105lbs and am pretty normal health wise, no medical issues. Nothing new in my diet, not stressed.. etc.
My average cycle is 35 days and my periods last for 7 days. I cramp for the first 3 days of my period (with the first day being the most painful.) I spot for the first day, and then the heavy full-on bleeding starts the 2nd day and lasts for 4 days, then my last two days are just spotting. I sometimes also get some light spotting during ovulation which I know is common.
My last normal period started August 17th (2012) and ended August 23rd. Then, on September 4th, I started having brown bleeding (it was more than just 'spotting' it was like mentrual bleeding, but brown - and yes, I know that brown blood is just 'old' blood and is considered normal) and that lasted all the way up until the 14th (would soak through a regular size tampon every few hours or so). On the morning of the 15th, I woke up with severe mentrual cramps (had no cramping up until this point), went to the bathroom and my mentruation had turned to red blood and it was quite a heavy flow. I have been bleeding ever since, it is now the 22nd. Still soaking through a regular size tampon every 2 hours or so. Went to the bathroom this morning to change my tampon, and the flow is still at the point where it pours into the toilet when I pee if I'm not wearing a tampon. Showing no signs of lightning up. I have no cramping what-so-ever. Haven't had any cramping since the 15th.
I am concerned. I know that every cycle can be different so I shouldt expect EVERY cycle to be the same, but I don't know what is going on with my body. this has never happened to me before. I can't get in to see my doctor until next week.
Also, I've been feeling exhausted/ no energy since this all started. I can't keep my eyes open passed 9pm and have a hard time waking up at even 8am.. by noon (12pm) I am fighting to keep my eyes open again and then usually have to go down for a nap.
I've also been urinating more frequently, even on days where I haven't had much to drink.
I'm usually not this tired.. in bed by 11pm and up by 7am..
**Also, not sure what this means, but last night, I got woken up by a sharp stabbing pain on my right side right below my ribcage.. the pain was from the bottom of my rib cage down to my hip. The pain was so intense that I couldn't move and was sweating..an hour later I felt this weird 'popping' feeling and the pain was gone..
