I am a recent college graduate and a virgin. I've always been rather paranoid about the chances of pregnancy as I am not on birth control, so I try not to engage in risky sexual activities. Having said that, I had a momentary lapse of judgement with my boyfriend on July 1, 2013.
We engaged in genital rubbing (sorry for TMI) with no penetration and ejaculation. Belatedly realizing that sexual encounter may have occurred during my ovulation, I took Plan B within 48 hours of the incident and got my period as expected on July 16, 2013. It was heavy with a lot of clots which is typical of my normal periods. I know I should be relieved for receiving my period but my paranoia knows no bounds. Throughout the whole ordeal, I have read articles/comments of people getting pregnant after they have received their "period" as the bleeding from plan B was only withdrawal bleeding and not actual menstruation. Others claimed they had implantation bleeding.
To allay my fears, I took 4 First Response pregnancy tests within the three weeks after I got my period. July 24, 28, 29 and Aug 3. The results were all Negative. I am expecting my next period on August 16.
I know I sound crazy for asking but is it still possible that I may be pregnant from the July 1st incident? I tend to second guess myself a lot so I would like to be told if I am just having irrational fears over the situation or there is truly a risk. I am also currently studying for certification exams for my profession and all this worrying truly is having a negative effect on my preparation. Responses will be greatly appreciated.
