Hello. I am a 20 year old woman and I have been taking the contraceptive Orsythia for about a year now. I'm pretty consistent about taking it. I have had unprotected sex a few times since I have been on it. I read the pregancny rates are about 0.83 per 100 woman, but I am worried. I have been experiencing:
- Extreme breast tenderness for the past week or so. I know this can be a side effect of the pill itself, but I have never experienced this amount of soreness and I have been on the pill for so long, why would it just be starting now?
- Alcohol sensitivity. I usually go out and drink about 2 nights a week and stick to beer or minimal liqour. The past few times I have drank, I have gotten ridiculously sick, puking twice of these. And I've only had a few drinks each time. This worries me.
- I keep experiencing extreme lows in my mood. I'll be fine one minute and the next I feel like I'm going to be in tears.
Besides this, I have had minor cramping and extreme fatigue also. I haven't experienced any food aversions, in fact I have had a larger-than-normal appetite. My last period was super light and I still have another week and a half left in this cycle. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.
