It is almost 5 monthssince having my left ovary removed due to a dermoid cyst. With all the fertility monitoring I've been doing for years, I feel like the surgery was a really bad idea. I'm not having normal cycles . My moods are highly reactive and I'm extremely emotional and irritable constantly. As well as getting hot flashes now and night sweats and extreme insomnia. I am really afraid now that with my medical history of lupus this surgery may have kicked me into perimenopause. Has anyone else ever had a unilateral salpingo oophorectomy and begun the early stages of menopause as a result of losing one ovary? Please help, I'm losing my mind...
