I have chronic ingrown hairs on my mons pubis, the "top" of my vagina. I do not shave. I sugar wax which is an all natural way of waxing. I do it myself as im too embarrassed to get it done and it saves me tons of money. I always grown it out until its the appropriate length for waxing then i shower and after my shower i will wax. Ive been doing this for about 8 months now and i love it because it isn't itchy when hair grows back and it grows back slower and i figured it would help my ingrown hair problem but it hasn't.
I have had these chronic ingrown hairs for about 2 years now. I have terrible scars all over and im so embarrassed by them. I always gently exfoliate that area 1-2 a week and right after showers i put vitamin e oil on it and some cetaphil lotion. I just started doing the vitamin e oil and cetaphil lotion method for about 2 moths now so that's not the culprit. Previously i used johnsons baby lotion and before that i didn't even moisturize and in those times of not moisturizing my issue wasn't really even an issue.
Ive figured if i left them alone that they've come out or go away but i always end up needing to use a sterilized needle to get them out. There's no way ill stop removing the hair down there so please do not suggest that. I dont know what my issue seems to be but someone help me ! Is there any special lotion i should buy or different regime to help stop the ingrown hairs and lighten my scarring? Im 19 years old so its not an old age thing. I have no medical history of any diseases or allergies either.
