My Mom aged 83 had a fall in the house in Oct this year. No surgery as it was a hairline fracture. Was advised bed rest for 6 weeks and administered a pain killer to be taken thrice a day. Today she is able to walk a little with the help of a walker within the house. She also has arthritis to add to her woes. I apply sesame seed oil on her groin area where the fracture was as well as on her entire legs. My question is how low can a chair or any seating be to avoid any complications or pain while sitting. At present she sits on the bed and reasonably high chair. What about climbing stairs? How soon can it be done. Can anybody help with advise based on their experiences. Thank you. I'm Patricia.
