Have you ever heard of the loss of taste/smell & pain/difficulty chewing following dental implant surgery to both upper and lower mouth? A friend had implant surgery 2 years ago for the upper and lower mouth...since then she has lost an enormous amount of weight for she is unable to chew and has No sense of taste or smell of food....
Last visit with her doctor and he said that he has never heard of a loss of sense of smell or taste resulting or difficulty chewing from dental implants. Apparently she had another 4 hour surgery recently to build up the jaw around the implant?
