As the time of my first delivery in 1989, my gynaecologist had performed midline episiotomy. As a result, I was in pain in perennial portion initially for about 8 months. I had constant discomfort and bowl movement was affected due to which I had no satisfaction of complete evacuation. Now, after a gap of 26 years, deep pain again surfaced in perennial region which my gynaecologist says is due to trapping of pudendal nerve in the scar which is developed after midline episiotomy, and suggested a surgery to excise the scar tissue and release the pudendal nerve. I am scared and want to avoid surgery ( which if fails would aggravate my pain and discomfort). I also met another doctor who are specialised in pain management ( who inject and block the nerve ) but in India, this is not a very developed and a known treatment. I read articles about Dr. Lee Dellon from USA who is known to have cured many patients with similar medical problem. I do not have any other information about Dr. Dellon except what I learned on the internet. Will it be good idea to consult Dr. Dellon for my medical problem? This involves lot of expenses and sort of risk for me to go to Dr. Dellon. Can I get some advice on this ( about approaching Dr. Dellon). Many thanks. Anita Bhise
