I work in a restaurant and my heart rate is around 140 to 160 non-stop while working for 5-8 hours, and then it’s around 120 for a few hours after work when I’m home, before it finally calms down. My doctor said this was too high and prescribed me Metropolol but my heart rate is still high. I had a full cardiologist checkup done and there was nothing wrong with my heart. It’s likely caused by anxiety and being out of shape. However, I feel as if my heart rate is still too high when working. Does anyone think I should continue going to work until eventually it calms down by itself after I’m more in shape or what should I do? Thank you in advance.
