1. Rose as skin toner:
Rose water is quite a cosmetic product that flashes with advertisements on newspaper and TV set. Rose water is a wonderful skin toner. You can prepare that at home also and the process is very simple. Take some rose petals and soak them overnight in water and then strain that water and keep in your refrigerator. Those who are very busy, they can use the cosmetic rose water bottles. Dip a cotton ball into this water and dab it on your face smoothly. The complexion would improve and pores would go giving you a smoother skin.
2. Rose in acne treatment:
I guess there is no girl who doesn’t suffer from acne or pimples and that is no less than a nightmare. There are many outward and inward factors of that from pollution to stress. But to prevent that nature of skin, rose is a magical flower. It has anti-bacterial properties which treats acne like a pro. You need sandalwood powder, rose water, dried and crushed rose petals, and 3-4 drops of organic honey. Bring in a homogeneous consistency and apply on your face and wash off with lukewarm water after 10 – 15 minutes. Acne would just vanish and your face would become brighter.
3. Rose as dark circle remover:
Late night work, parties, and studies may leave you insomniac or sleep destitute. This leads to rise in dark circles around the eyes making you look ugly – right? We all have encountered this situation in some stage of our life. With rose water, you can lessen this dark circles. With regular use of rose water the dark circles would be removed totally. Dip a cotton ball into rose water and then lie down and place this cotton ball over your eyes. Keep the straight posture and don’t open your eyes before 10 – 15 minutes. You would feel refreshed!
4. Rose as moisturizer:
Rose has a lovely fragrance and the petals are really a great source of moisturizer. People with mixed to dry skin type can use the rose petals to moisturize their skin from deep within. You can take dried and crushed rose petals and make a smooth paste by mixing that with some milk and honey. Apply on your face and keep it till it dries and wash off with lukewarm water. You can also mix some rose water in your usual moisturizer and notice the improvements.
5. Rose as sun-guard:
Many of our skin related problems arise because we don’t use the right kind of sunscreen. Sun rays have the harmful UV rays that causes some damage to skin if it is left bare to the sun. Rose petals come as a great help here also. It is a good source of Vitamin C and that guards the sun rays really well. Dried and crushed rose petals, Glycerin, and cucumber juice is all you would require to make your natural sunscreen. Always remember to apply this fluid on your face at least half an hour before you step out of your home.
6. Rose as a nourishment for hair and scalp:
Who doesn’t love to flaunt a shiny and glowing hair? If you use rose water for your hair it would give you two instant benefits. Follow your normal shampoo routine and rinse off the shampoo. Now bring in rose water and apply very well to your hair. Massage the scalp well with rose water and also make sure every hair strand receives the rose water. All the itches and irritations of your scalp would be reduced considerably and your hair strands would glow and shine like a star.
