What exactly is a cardiologist and what are some symptoms of heart disease in women?

Well, a cardiologist is an internal medicine specialist, that specializes in heart disease and typically looks at diseases of the heart and the blood vessels. So the blood vessels feeding the heart are very important because if one of them blocks off then a person will have a heart attack and that’s what most people are concerned with when they going in to see the doctor. But likewise we also look to make sure that the blood vessels feeding the brain, the carotid arteries or the blood vessels feeding the legs and the aorta, the main blood vessel in the middle of the body are intact and don’t have … any plaques in them either.
