The National Institute of Neurological
Disorders and Stroke, a component of the National Institutes of
Health, is the leading Federal supporter of research on disorders
of the brain and nervous system. The Institute also sponsors an
active public information program and can answer questions about
diagnosis, treatment, and research related to headache.

This organization is a nonprofit
patient/health professional partnership dedicated to advancing
treatment and management of headache and to raising the public
awareness of headache as a valid, biologically based illness. ACHE
offers headache brochures, a quarterly newsletter, the book

support groups, and support via the Internet and commercial on-line
service providers.

The foundation promotes research and public
