Hello. My name is Tarrin. I am a stay-at-home, single, full-time college student, mother. My oldest son, Ricky, will be 5 on July 9th. He has severe Autism. Lately, he has been having more and more trouble at school. My second son, Austin is a "terrible" 2 year old. He is too smart for anyones good! My youngest son, Danny, is 11 months old. He was born with little holes in his brain. This is a disorder known as Periventricular Leukomalacia. He spent the first 2 weeks of his life in NICU. Since coming home, he has continued to developed more problems. He now has Cerebral Palsy, Hearing and Vision Impairments, and a form of Epilepsy called Infantile Spasms. If you are interested in learning more about him or if you would like to learn how you can help, please visit his charity here: http://www.myspace.com/help_baby_danny

Thank you for looking!

I was born and raised in Lima, Peru. I always loved my country, and thought I would live and die there, but destiny always plays tricks on you. After having an unhealthy relationship I decided to move as far as I could. I could've gone to another state, but I knew that wasn't far enough. As I had a friend living in Florida, I asked her if I could move in with her. She was delighted and helped me in many ways. Soon enough I moved to another city on my own to try some luck. Apparently everything went well, and after a while I started dating again. But I realized that after the butterflies in your stomach are gone, every relationship turns pretty much into the same. I decided then to stay single and to go back to my country, but a friend told me to try eHarmony, I was kinda shocked when I heard her. I've never dated anyone online, or tried any chat service (because you never know how screwed is the person at the other end). Anyway, I told my friend I would try it but only for a month, that if they were that good I would find the right person in that period of time. I was never too excited with that, but I tried it anyways. When I was getting ready to throw the towel and start packing, I started to communicate with this man that blew my mind. We were so different but at the same time so similar, with almost the same background that we clicked immediately. After dating for a little while he asked me to moved to Texas with him. And since then we've been together, with ups and downs like any other couple, but happy and looking forward to having our second child together.

My mother was recently diagnosed with breast cancer is currently going through chemotherapy. She also has a weak heart, so thoughts of radiation treatment makes me nervous. There is no history of cancer on both my father and mother's side of the family. My mother has sent me information on how I can help protect myself (things she thought may have caused her onset). In addition to hormone replacement therapy, not eating enough fruits and vegetables, and drinking too much slowly weakened her body. I'm here for inspiration, learning, and sharing my mother's story.

I'm currently have adventures in thyroid and prolactin chaos. Wooo! This is in addition to my usual battles with IBS, endometriosis and scoliosis. I'm utilizing all methods available - chiropractic adjustment/massage, an "alternative" doctor and regular ol' Western med. I've just started down the path of radical life style changes. Wish me luck!

My husband and I were empty nesters, with our youngest in college, when we were presented with the gift of raising our then 2 year-old granddaughter. We finalized her adoption last October and she will be 5 in March. Not being able to continue in corporate America with a toddler and being 51 years old, I obtained my real estate license and started a home-based Arbonne International business as well. The new rhythm in our household, as I like to refer to it, is far more interesting than empty-nesters and will keep us young.
