My name is Amanda and I work at Kindred, Phoenix and I am an RN. So I will have typically four to six patients on a daily basis and I’ll provide all their meds, their wound care, assisting with their ADLs, feeding if they need to, and we have respiratory who will assist them with other respiratory needs PT. We have every discipline here to help all the patients for all their needs.
I enjoy making a difference and just seeing them because it’s a long-term acute care hospital. You get to see your patients for longer stays and so you can see them really sick and then you can see them get better and go home.
I enjoy all the team work. We have a lot of great doctors and you can ask them anything. You can call them; they don’t get mad. They care about their patients, their nurses and the aides. We work together as a team and the supervisors are great too.
