Sue:

After my hysterectomy, I was fortunate enough to be able to have a vaginal hysterectomy; they didn’t know at the time going in what they were going to find with the endometriosis and they may have had to have done through the abdomen, which creates a lot more cutting and a lot more downtime, but fortunately they were able to, and I did have a total hysterectomy where they took out everything. So, that made it a little bit easier so they tell me. To me, again, surgery is surgery.

I was out for six weeks and I don’t think I could drive for a couple of weeks; couldn’t walk steps. It was pretty normal I think. I was tired for a while but, once that was over the pain was gone. The pain of the endometriosis was gone; the periods were gone, which was fabulous because I didn’t have that pain and I didn’t have that discomfort and I didn’t have the automatic two days a month where I was knocked out of circulation. So, I thought it was great. I thought it really helped changed my life for the better getting that.
