Dr. Marchese:

Well all naturopathic physicians are trained in medical school to perform annual well women’s exams so some women might not be aware that they can go to their naturopathic doctor and utilize them as their primary care physician to perform their annual well woman’s exam, and then if the Pap smear comes back abnormal the naturopath is already managing the care and will lead them down the road of antiviral oral therapies, the antiviral vaginal suppositories.

If a patient is not already seeing a naturopath and their conventional doctor gives them a call and says, “Your Pap smear is abnormal,” they can request a copy of the abnormal Pap smear lab report and bring that lab report to their naturopathic doctor for treatment and management of that Pap smear.
