Sophie describes the dietary changes she has made that has helped alleviate her juvenile rheumatoid arthritis pain.

Sophie:
Since 7th grade, I have been on a vegetarian diet because it is better for people with arthritis to not eat animal protein products. So I have tried to become vegan for a few days, but it hasn’t worked, but vegetarian right now is good for me because it helps the inflammation. An example is when one time I was eating salmon, and within minutes my knee started swelling up, and once it swells up it’s hard to get down. So it’s better just to eliminate those products altogether for me.
