Dr. Christiane Northrup Reassures There is Sex Life After Fifty

Many women are afraid that their sex lives will end, or at least become unrecognizable, when they hit fifty. But Dr. Christiane Northrup wants to reassure women that menopause notwithstanding, this doesn't have to happen.

Even if you've had a drop in your libido after fifty, there are steps you can take to turn things around.

Change how you think about yourself. Consciously choose to see yourself as a sexy vibrant woman. Learn about your body and what will stimulate arousal.

She recommends learning from the ancient Chinese use of jade eggs after menopause, which can tone and exercise the pelvic floor. Familiarize yourself with lubricants or use a little estrogen cream.

" 'Sex changes according to how much resentment and hurt you have that you haven't processed,' she says, adding, 'Your sex drive is always there if you take the time to wake it up. The research shows that it's women in their 60s and 70s who are having the best sex of their lives!' "

Their articles are not a substitute for medical advice although we hope you can gain knowledge from their insight.

Many of my clients complain of lack of libido in addition to hot flashes and night sweats. Thank you for your boost of confidence. I'll be sure to share.
