Food, Sex and Sensual Connection

Mmmmmmmm, when I bite into a hot chocolate chip cookie I feel like my head is going to explode with warm, dreamy rockets.

Or the other night, that SAUCE - what was IN that SAUCE that made my whole mouth feel like it was a separate part of my body, with, truly, a life of its own?
No, no, I know, the FIRST TIME I ever had lobster as a kid - unearthly! Full of mystery, passion!

It's not surprising that our feelings and descriptions of the enjoyment of food sometimes match those of our experience of the enjoyment of sex and sexual pleasure. The "first time" for great foods that we adore can leave as much of a sense memory impact on us as the first sexual pleasure times; first kiss, first "second base," first orgasm with a partner.

The escape to a better, safer, warmer, cozier place full, simultaneously of both comfort and excitement, of intrigue, suspense and surprise, of warmth, validation and a feeling of being attended to, validated, cared for, food and sex can do both of these.

It's no wonder we go out to eat so often on dates or, if settled, on "date nights." Watching and listening to one another while spoons full of tender tenderloin bathed in mushroom reduction sauce is fed tenderly to our sensitive mouths can ignite, re-ignite and fan the flames of passion just lingering beneath the surface of our cerebral exteriors.

For an in-depth look at the way in which we intertwine these delights, please read the article 'FoodSex' at the following website http://www.romantic-tips.com/foodsex.html

Food and sex can also be enjoyed together. How many of us have fed our lover from our spoon, watching with delicious anticipation as their luscious lips closed over the edge of the spoon or fork, imagining it was our mouth or tongue they were devouring, licking, enjoying.

The standard reference for this subject is always the "food scene" in the movie 91/2 weeks with Kim Basinger and Mickey Rourke, and for good reason, it shows so beautifully the steamy, sexy, playful and sensual aspects of how food and sex can coexist, complement one another, take us for a sensual ride.

To enhance your sexual side, think of recipes. Add cinnamon to your hot chocolate. Read recipes and try out new, decadent ideas. This can spark your creativity for all things sensual, and keep your mind wandering toward more creative ideas in the bedroom. For if you can become excited and passionate with a little extra spice in your lasagna, why wouldn't a little extra spice in between the sheets cause you to be just as full of fireworks and magic?
