Dr. Jones:

It’s not like gonorrhea or chlamydia where you can get an antibiotic and you can get rid of it. HPV is a virus, so it’s a lot like the cold virus or the chicken pox virus. You will always have some form of the virus in your body, but the goal is to get your immune system to take care of it and pull it out of the cervical area and that way you don’t have any of the dysplasia or cervical cancer symptoms.
