The Women's Sexual Health Foundation (www.twshf.org) emailed me the link to a fantastic article that I'd like to share....http://www.usnews.com/blogs/on-women/2008/08/05/sex-after-breast-cancer.html
With the recent news of actress Christina Applegate being diagnosed with breast cancer, this article is particularly timely. And, as the article's author eloquently states, as much discussion as there is, there isn't enough being said about the sexual health issues that breast cancer survivors face.

I'm not sure how much a man makes by donating his sperm but I think the going rate is somewhere around $50 a pop, give or take.
A woman, however, can make thousands by donating a single egg.
I have read many ads in journals and magazines in my town, looking for women to donate their eggs. The pay range is anywhere from $5000 to $10000 - certainly nothing to sneeze at.
According to CNN, "As the nation's economy is slumping, some fertility clinics say interest in donating has surged.

Burnout is a loose term for fatigue or exhaustion syndrome. It is a situation where an individual is constantly tired and will exhibit signs of extreme exhaustion. Some of these symptoms will include some memory loss, short attention span, some physical pain in the form of headaches or back pain, irritability, lack of energy and poor performance in work and/or school. There are many people who live with this but are unaware that there is something wrong.

I have been seeing more ads for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), and was wondering if it really is as effective as the advertisements claim.
According to the American Cancer Society (ACS), "Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) involves the breathing of pure oxygen while in a sealed chamber that has been pressurized at 1.5 to 3 times normal atmospheric pressure".

I had an ankle fusion in June 2004 and found out today that a second one needs to be done.I am very scared because the first one was mentally and physically draining.Even at four years out I feel it was one of the worst things I could have done. Now my back, hips and knee is causing me problems, which is because of my gait pattern. I would like to know if anyone out there has or is having difficulties because of a fusion? If so,how are you dealing with it? Thanks,Vicki :)
