Celeste:

It does seem to really keep in mind is if you are going from a colder climate to a drier climate, then you are going to be really concerned about hydration and protecting from the sun and the dry effects of the sun. So you want to really carry a lot of moisture-rich and protecting types of entities, a lot of vitamin A and vitamin C which are really stimulating in those kind of dryer climates. Less exfoliation when you are in those areas. The flip side is if you are going to a cold area where you are going to have a lot of artificial heat and air, where you are not going to have a lot of moisture, then you would want to think about making sure that you carry tools, whether that is a little portable hydrator for your room, to keep it moist and also to make sure your skin is responding that way in that cold weather.
