The leading sleep disorders in the United States currently are sleep apnea, with obstructive sleep apnea being the most common type, a disease called central sleep apnea being much rarer, restless legs syndrome or periodic leg movements of sleep, and insomnia, which is kind of a sleep disorder of a different type.
