After delivering her first child, son Grant, Olympic speed skater Bonnie Blair couldn't wait to get back to exercise.
The first time that she pulled on her running clothes and took off, she felt exhilarated. But no more than half a block from her house outside Milwaukee, she realized her shorts were soaked with urine. She wondered: "Did I drink too much this morning?" "Did I forget to empty my bladder?"
"A zillion things entered my mind," she said. The next day, she tried running again, with the same result. For a while, she kept the problem to herself, too embarrassed to talk about her problem even to her husband, Dave Cruikshank.
