I had a car accident in 2004 ...no complaints until 2 years later my right foot and ankle start hurting. Diagnosed with secondary Arthritis. Advised to take Glucosamine. I did that until now. Last weeks X-ray is telling that 1 ankle joint did already fuse by itself. (I am not taking painkillers by the way) Now the only option to get more mobility and less pain is a Pantalarfusion with artificial bonesubstances. In my case that will involve only two joints. I am never confused, but now.... I am. What to do? What will be the outcome? Will I indeed be able to hike again? Can I walk stairs again, can I walk slooping area's.... Can anybody tell what their Pantalarfusion involved and how it influenced their lifes? I would be so very grateful to hear from the real experts, surgeons who did these procedures more often and of...those who went already through the whole proces!
