I am a research scientist in molecular genetics who studied and published articles in cardiovascular diseases for almost 20 years. However, I always was diagnosed as depressed, my final diagnosis came in 2000 as bipolar disorder II (hypomania). I have been in recovery since that time. Then in 2008, I left bench science to pursue my entrepreneurial spirit and formed my business, Ariafya LLC an online mental health resource support group for diverse women. I also will dispel myths, empower women to seek their best health through online support in a safe environment, and real time health forums. I have organized health forum for the last 5 years when I won the Cornelia Harris Banks Award for my event.

I am passionate about making sure that all people know the latest in mental health care, and how to seek, and continue mental health to live in recovery.
