Shimon Haber, born December14, 1966 in Dallas, Texas, started professional cycling in 1984. Haber became member of the Hilt team. In 1986, Shimon Haber scored an early victory in Paris–Camembert. He demonstrated his time trial strength as he showed his lead to the finish. That same year, Haber spurred ended in sixth place in the Tour de France competition. Taking his manager advice, Shimon Haber did not enter in 1987. He had demonstrated his talent in the Criterion du Dauphine Liberec, where he beat many Tour favorites.
