My name is Pam and I am 53yrs old. I am happily married to my husband of 19yrs, Richard and it will be 20 next year in March. I can't believe we have lasted this long as I have been sick since the day we met. I even got sick with a bowel obsturction on our Wedding Day. I didn't even get any of my own wedding banquet because my Surgeon was a guest at the wedding and he said I was too sick to even have a bowl of soup. Then to make matters worse, we went to Noosa for our Honeymoon and I go worse, had to be flown back to Brisbane, Richard drove all the way back to Brisbane on his own . Not a good way to start your marriage was it. I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and subsequently had to have an ileostomy which I still have. After that I got endometriosis, and could not have my one true wish, which was to be a mother. All my life, I had wanted to be a 'mum'. My three sisters managed to have 10 between them, but unfortunately it wasn't be for me. I continued to have health problems. I suffered a stroke in 2004, and then in 2006, I was diagnosed with a rare neurodegenerative disease called MSA, Multiple System Atrophy, which is related to Parkinson's Disease, and it does not have a cure for it. I have not been able to work for some time now and it was for this reason that I joined the Hubpages on the internet so that I would have something to do to distract me from the severe pain that I get. You see I have severe degenerative disc disease, which is in my neck and my lower lumbar spine. Recently I was told that I have the neck of an eighty year old woman and at 53yrs of age that isn't what you want to hear. I am looking forward to chatting with you and others on this website. I have another problem too and that is I suffer from extreme case of vaginitis, which never seem to abate for long before its back. My gynaecologist says and I quote that my vagina is unhealthy and unhappy. I feel like I have a flame thrower in my vagina it is burning so much. I have this constant pain in my vagin and in my bottom and it sometimes is so bad it makes me very upset. So with that and the MSA its a lot to put up with. If you can help with this I would be so grateful to you .
