My journey of health finds its origin and context in a traumatic upbringing and major tragedy which inevitably compromised my immune system and caused various automimmune responses such as hypothyroidism, psoriasis and urticaria. Those were the ones that persisted after ME and shingles in the eye in my early 20s.
Fortunately although that journey was hard and so multidimensional, it took me beyond traditional medicine and the teachings of traditional psychiatry, of which I was a practitioner for so many years.
One of the things I had to learn was to observe the connection between different parts of the body rather than to see them in isolation as organs and systems. For example with a thyroid condition, a slow or excessive metabolism will put strain on the heart wall as it did with mine from a scan I observed.
I also learnt that healing is a multidimensional process and that physical health is determined by our spiritual, emotional and mental experiences. Therefore I had to learn to ask empowering and incisive questions on all those levels in order to find holistic solutions. I also had to learn about forgiveness and compassion which is not taught in psyhciatry.
I describe in my soon to be released book, 'The World Is Your Oyster', how I journeyed from a state of survival to experiencing living more fully, following major personal tragedy. I describe the processes that, in combination, helped me to get over to the other side.
Whilst health and recovery from illness is a multidimensional process, the importance of physical well-being is a fundamental place to start since out physical health can support us when challenges abound and allow us to enjoy and experience living more fully otherwise.
My questions in search of solutions bought me to some important discoveries and solutions which I now incorporate in my health coaching, simply because their common theme is the measurability of the results. In my book I describe how we need to develop mirrors for the body which provide feedback for what is going on inside along with a way of measuring results from solutions applied.
My journey resulted in me having a private dinner last year with a doctor that has formulated a solution that is reversing heart disease, with the personal joy of taking the strain of my heart wall in a way that I can measure. It is a great privilege to be part of a team whose mission is to save at least a million lives from heart disease by 2012.
That journey has also recently connected me with another team that are demonstrating profound healing on the electromagnetic dimension of the body with scientifically measurable results. It is refreshing to be working with people who are commited to health rather than merely promoting their organisation
The joy of sharing these discoveries with others in demonstrable fashion is profound as I, like many here, have suffered greatly in my being and health. The joy of sharing new disoveries and imparting new choices is beyond words.
What is sad is to watch certain factions of the medical establishment respond with threat rather than embracing the discoveries of other scientific disciplines that dare to look at health from different yet equally important perspective.
I am a work in progress but am going from strength to strength, following major trauma, burnout and adrenal exhaustion. That strength has bred hope, renewed vigour and joy, and this has been an essential experience because of the vision I hold, which requires health and energy to support its manifestation. Part of my life purpose is to empower others in similar vein and to give to humanitarian causes on a bigger scale.
Our health is not just the sum of the parts of our body, but is the experience of that life force and energy we experience on a day to day basis. It is my aim, intention and prayer that through the dialogue, sharing, discoveries and experiences here, that we will all experience greater levels of health and life vibrancy.
My story here is also my statement of intention to share, serve and help to that end in whatever way I can
Wishing you all health, life and love in abundance
Anita
