I have suffered with UTI's and incontinence from the age of 5. I got told that it was just a weak bladder that I had and gave medication to help with this. As the years went on I didn't get any better with my bladder and was told that I should stop taking the prescribed medication as it was not helping and was sent to 3 different bladder specialists and non of the specialists had a clue or would do any tests it just got worse over time and at the age of 19 I got sent to a urologist that spent time trying to figure out what is the reason why I get UTI's so regular and had a bladder exploration done and after a few weeks later I got diagnosed with having IC (interstitial cystitis) and referred to a different urologist that specialises with this disorder.
