I am physically healthy thanks to good genes but sometimes my mental health is questionable. I have anxiety and have since I was a teenager. I couldn't identify my anxiety for the longest time and thought that I just had messed up thoughts. Now that I've named the beast that plagued me through my younger years, I've been able to find ways to manage it.
Writing has been an amazing way to get the thoughts out of my head that cause anxiety. I have also taken up meditation and yoga. They are daily rituals to tone down the anxiety but they also help when an attack comes on.
I feel a lot more in control of my life and try to avoid the unnecessary situations that give me anxiety.
