Hi,

I was bulimic for almost 30 years. This seems incredible now with so much recovery behind me. I'm forever grateful that I was able to carry and give birth to a healthy child, am healthy myself and passionate about my life and the challenges I've set for myself.

All those years ago I never thought I would live six months beyond whatever the present was. I couldn't plan for the future. Long term commitments were words from other people meaningless to me.

Now I have short term AND long term goals. I'm happy. I have love in my life. I'm productive and have a sense of adventure.

Thank God for recovery and the resilience of the human body and the human spirit.

Inspiration

I said to my soul, be still and wait without hope, for hope would be hope for the wrong thing. Wait without love, for love would be love of the wrong thing. There is yet faith, but the faith and the love are all in the waiting. Wait without thought, for you are not ready for thought. So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing. --T. S. Eliot from East Coker in The Four Quartets
