I am a 58 y/o woman. I feel that I am pretty healthy, despite dealing with some asthma and arthritis issues. I am a runner and I struggle with running when my arthritis is really bad, but I am determined (stubborn?) and keep plugging along! A doctor once called me "an old used car, who doesn't have that many more good miles left in me" and asked if I wanted to use up the mileage by running marathons! I just HATE it when someone tells me I probably shouldn't do something! I have done 8 marathons since then and plan to train for another one soon! I am working on losing 30 pounds and trying to eat a lot healthier. I am very involved with supporting The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, for kids with life threatening diseases. I have been blessed with 6 healthy children and I think I need to give back a little to others in need.
