I had HS for 20 years before I was diagnosed. My first cyst appeared when I was 20. I am not yet in stage 3 but still taking an average of 2 days a month off work to care for oozing and painful wounds. Since this diagnosis I have also been diagnosed with gastritis. Possible PCOS, IBS, high cholesterol, anxiety, diabetes type 2 and high blood pressure. I smoke and am overweight and have become very resistant to weight loss. I only exercise when I'm not in pain. Being hot and sweaty (which is most of the time) exacerbates the HS to no end. I am searching for a cure .....
