I am a specialist in urological conditions (bladder, kidneys, prostate, testicles, and the female pelvis). I graduated from UCLA in 1990 with Bachelor of Science degrees in Biochemistry and Philosophy.
Having then graduated from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, I pursued a Urological Surgery residency at Loma Linda University from 1994 to 2000. I subsequently completed fellowship training in Urological Oncology and Laparoscopic Urology at City of Hope National Medical Center.
After my fellowship, I joined the faculty at City of Hope as Assistant Professor of Surgery. In this capacity, I was among the first few surgeons in the United States that started to perform Robotic Assisted Laparoscopic Prostatectomy using the Da-Vinci robotic system. I embraced this technology as a major advancement in minimally invasive surgery for patients with prostate cancer. Having performed over 1500
laparoscopic and robotic procedures for prostate, kidney, and bladder cancers, I am able to provide patients curative surgery that is extremely precise, preserves sexual function, has minimal blood loss, minimal pain and quick recovery.
As an expert in Bladder, Kidney and Prostate Cancers as well as Robotic Laparoscopic Prostatectomy, I have published numerous peer reviewed articles and research papers on these subjects. I have also trained numerous urologists in techniques of minimally invasive laparoscopy and robotic surgery.
I am on staff at a number of prestigious medical centers including City of Hope National Medical Center, Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, California.
My strongest desire is to provide my patients with compassion, personalized attention, and state of the art care.
