1995, diagnosed with MS after years of neuro problems. Retired from teaching at our local community college. Applied for SSDI and received. Then, 2002 told I did not have MS. Then 2004, new MRI said I have brain iron accumulation (PKAN). Then, in 2009 had cervical 5-6 fusion and told by surgeon a portion of my spinal cord was perm "dead" (myelomalacia), Now, in 2011 my phycians tell me that I have myelomalacia and also widespead calcium deposits in basal ganglia. Widespread pain, severe peripheral neualgia.
