Laura shares her lifestyle transformation and recalls doubting her ability to lose the dramatic amount of weight she was able to take off.
When I look back at it, or I think about it, I thought, “There is no way I am going to be able to lose 200 pounds.” I mean, if you start out at weight 356 and my age was 52, you think, you know most people just want to give up. So I started with the program and I saw amazingly within 10 weeks I had lost 36 pounds. I changed my habits. It almost became easy.
I thought, “You know, I am just going to continue on. I am going to sign up for another program, continue on with Lindora and just see where it takes me,” and within 7 months I had lost a 100 pounds. So I thought, “Okay, this is for me,” and I just kept going and now I use it as a maintenance program because they give you away to continue on to maintain the weight, not necessarily to lose weight on the weight loss side, but to maintain it.
You know, I had dieted a lot over my 40-50 years of being fat, but the are ways that aren’t dieting. It’s a life change and you have to make the decision to change what you eat and when you eat it and then how much; the portion control is key.
