Dr. Gonzalez:

The abdomen after a LAP-BAND® or a REALIZE Band procedure will have some small scars on them. The patient will not have any tubes or drains, and the scarring will disappear with time. When we do the operation here, we don’t even put bandages on the patient. We put a little glue on the skin and that glue will fall off over the first few weeks, and the scars through the months and years will disappear.
