Dr. Gonzalez:

The adjustable bands have a little bit more difficulty in controlling hunger. There is occasionally some decrease of appetite, initially probably in the first few days to a week, but then with time, the hunger will return, and then, right around the first month when the patients are hungry and they are eating, we begin the adjustments of the band. And then, the adjustments will control the patient’s eating habits and therefore, decrease their hunger.
