I think the key things is to find, number one, a doctor who has experience, somebody who has a vast experience of cases. The national governing bodies and certifying bodies consider somebody with experience who has done at least 125 cases lifetime, and in my personal experience, it’s over 1000 personal cases. So, you know, therefore, experience is very important.
In addition to that, there should be a comprehensive program. It’s not just a surgery. The surgery is one small part of the whole program and so, you want to look for a experienced surgeon, a surgeon with a comprehensive program, and a facility that really desires to have quality. A facility that has great outcomes, and where you will feel safe having the operation.
