Can Gloves Really Help Prevent Breast Cancer?

I encountered a very unusual product the other day and to be honest, I wasn't really sure what to make of it.

Basically it was a thin mitten that you place over your hand which claims to make checking your breasts (for potential lumps) easier. The first thought that I had when I saw this product was that it seemed like a strange way to check your breasts and it wasn't until I stopped to actually think about it, that I realised that products such as these may not actually be a bad thing.

How do the gloves work?

Breast check mittens are made out of layers of Polyurethane-membrane which glide across the breast area with ease. The clever design makes it easier to detect even the smallest of lumps as there is no skin-on-skin friction.

Are they worth buying?

It's a shame that local governments don't provide products such as these free of charge for women over a certain age – but unfortunately they don't. I can see the logic behind the breast-checking gloves and in my eyes any product on the market that encourages women to regularly check their breasts for abnormal lumps is a good thing.

The gloves claim to make checking breasts easier – and it is a well know fact that breast cancer is significantly easier to beat if the early signs are detected. So, if we take this into consideration, then surely a product like this is priceless?
