2. How are they "searching for it"? Is this by body scans from outside the body (like an MRI or CAT scan), or by invasive procedures (it sounds like you are scared, that they are physically "searching for this gland")? (again, not possible, but I'm asking to see what information you have).
3. What type of doctors is your niece going to, and where are they located?
4. Did you go with your niece to the doctors, or is this second-hand information? Is it possible that they are "searching for" a diagnosis, and not the gland itself, and this was a mis-communication?
